Torrelamata Beach, also known as La Mata beach is around 10 to 15 minutes drive from Quesada. It is a long wide fine sandy beach with the town at one end and various beach bars and restaurants alongside the beach. There is a board- walk along the length of the beach that goes from Torrelamata town end to Cabo Cervera, which makes a lovely interesting long walk.

There is plenty of parking in the roads near the beach. There are also some restaurants, bars and cafes in the roads around the beaches too.

As with many beaches in Spain, in the Summer there are Life-Guards and flags are flown by the Life-Guard stations to show when it is safe to swim. A green flag means it is relatively safe to swim, a yellow flag means to be extra careful in the water and to stay near the shore and a red flag means it's dangerous to go in the sea.

On Wednesday mornings there is a street market in the town of Torrelamata.
