Iberia!!

We booked flights with IBERIA for the 1st time in December 2017......Alicante-Madrid-Heathrow...BUT NEVER AGAIN!!!

The outbound flight was delayed, we managed to run like hell and catch the connecting flight but our cases didn’t make the connecting flight. Then Iberia made a catalogue of errors and misplaced our cases.

The Iberia flight was the start of our 3 week Christmas holiday to Thailand, consequently, we travelled to Thailand with very little - which marred the holiday somewhat. Iberia found our case and returned it to our home address all battered 8 days after we returned home from holiday and they advised us to make a claim...what for I don’t know... 6 months later..I don’t think they have any intentions of paying claims out..breakdown in communication, sorry, absolutely no communication from Iberia unless it’s prised from them....I give up! Life’s too short!

You do know it is now June 2018 why wait 6 months to complain on here I also do not know what you have to complain about apart from lost luggage and Iberia have already told you to make a complaint so why not do it

You read it wrong. I complained and made the claim in January 2018 when I returned from. Since then I have had the big runaround with them avoiding corresponding or anything. They don’t pay any claims for anything I know that now...some 6 months after. And for your information what I had to complain about was the money I had to pay out in Dec 2017 for a new suitcase, holiday clothes, £100 for phone calls to their baggage reclaim centre and they hadn’t a clue where they had my case...over £500 I was out of pocket..THAT IS WHAT I’m saying...READ IT PROPERLY and digest it if your going to add your comments please!

Surely you would of had Travel Insurance so there should have been no monetary loss and yes I did read it properly.

I completely understand your frustration, I would have been furious is the same situation, but if you look at the additional information you've given in this second post (claim made in Jan 2018 and a detailed list of expenses to claim for), I hope you'll agree that your original post wasn't entirely clear, so unfair to take out your anger on jpeg.

Anyway, I hope venting on here has helped to get it out of your system and that, if you do decide to pursue a claim, you're able to get the matter resolved to your satisfaction. Good luck! :)
