Opencar are reliable and can be colleted from airport and return plus they are based in Quesada by the petrol station.

Booking online is easy and they speak English.

We've always used Firefly via DoYouSpain and never had any issues.

In April we're using a company called Self Drive who are based in El Raso. They'll pick you up at the airport, take you to your car, and take you back to the airport when you've finished your stay. They worked out cheaper than DYS on this occasion!

Jan,
Do you have your own "excess" policy or do you just pay the extra every time?

Thanks

Latest car hire scam just read about in uk press.
people are being charged for so called broken locks which you normally would"t check because of using
the remote to lock and unlock the car
check all locks including the tailgate with the key that they work, its amazing how the car hire operatives
go straight to a broken lock and declare that you have broken it,thats £250 please !!
also check under front and rear bumpers for damage, been told they are now using mirrors to have a look
before signing "returned ok "
you can down load an free app from iCarhireinsurance.com called Snaps which will store time and dated pictures
in an on line database
also check spare wheels ,warning triangle and hi viz vests and if their is a tyre repair kit, make sure its all there
someone got charged £142 because the glue was missing from the kit
these robbing b@*$stds will try anything to get your cash, use a lot of common sense and take loads of pics
hope this helps !!

Thanks for the heads up .
I think I will try to do a deal with local company for several bookings when I'm over next time.
I usually need 5 or six bookings a year.
