Hnos Garcia / Don De

Quick question...does anyone know whether the likes of Hnos Garica or Don De would be OK with us choosing and paying for a couple of items (oven & hob), and then fitting them at a later (specified) date?

We're coming over for a couple of days in March, but would probably want them to fit the items in April when we have a bit more time!

Yes. Give them a date and they will arrange it for then. We have done it with both shops in the past and they turned up on the date we gave them. Just make sure it's not the Easter week as they usually close Thursday to Monday inclusive during that time (April 13 to 17 this year, I think).

Donde are brilliant

Word of warning about Garcia. They are terrible if anything goes wrong once you have bought from them and they suddenly don't understand any English when you go to complain.

I found both these shops very helpful and brilliant delivery. I'm always amazed at how quickly we get something delivered in Spain compared to the UK. We are awaiting a new mattress delivery in the UK and it's over 3 weeks wait. In Spain we have had things within the day or at least 2 days. Obviously anyone can have a one-off problem caused by the language barrier or something else but that's an individual problem to be dealt with locally and shouldn't reflect badly on their overall service and the many customers who are happy.

We've bought quite a few items from Don De over the past year, on one occasion we bought an oven and, when we asked when it could be delivered and installed, their reply, "can you be home in an hour'!

Yes we've heard that too - Never get that in the UK!
