Does anyone know where I can purchase a few refractory bricks (fire bricks) near Quesada / Torrevieja? Thanks in advance

Leroy Merlin in La Zenia Boulevard have them. Approx 60cents each. Make such a difference in a log burner, they really throw out the heat

Hi Chris

The problem is not sourcing them, its cementing them in place.....

When you buy the cola, it's in powder form. You need to soak the blocks in water and then, when the (cola) cement is nice and runny, put them in place. You have about 5 seconds before it all dries out....

Best of luck.

Thanks for the advice. That won't be a problem though as I only want them to raise the height of the grate.

Thanks for your reply
