It was only the far end, which was little used. Last time I looked they were putting up new barriers & rebuilding edge of crumbled road.

Other 99% beaches ok, road down by market / park / tapas bars - busy area, has also new railings and new sun shade and seats put in on the main promenade - though there was only a little damage there - mainly I could see a few of the wooden walkways on the beach damaged, though looks they have all been replaced.

Slightly quieter beach further to the right, near hotel Meridional (incidentally the only part with disabled access and parking), also seems fine.

Paul even though I am a valued customer of yours I have to disagree with you when you say the part of Guardamar that was most damaged in the storms was little used! We have been using that particular part of the beach for approx 14 years and it was always busy along the front of the cottages. It's tragic what has happened both to the beach which is now almost nonexistent and obviously the cottages. The future of the two excellent restaurants which are always busy during the season must now be in doubt as the sea is now only yards from their door. The cottages closest to the town must now be under threat as the sea is rapidly closing in on them. Very sad for those people who own property.
Ps Paul sorry to hear about your phone.

Think this photo best describes the damage done to the cottages that overlook the Playa de la Babilonia. These cottages are just beyond J'aime restaurant.

I very much doubt any repair will be done as the cottages were condemed any way, some thing to do with the law regarding building along the sea front. As I understand it, when the family don't want them anymore they couldn't be sold but had to be pulled down. Regarding the beach, I don't know, There was some consern about debree being buried in the sand and causing harm to bathers

The storm was back in January as the photo I posted was taken late January. The main beach is fine though I am told the sea came right up to the promenade wall during the storms.
