Nothing has changed you appear to be some of those who choose to ignore the rules, think you will find same rules apply in UK for non brits

Hi we are moving over on 9th April with our dog I don’t think we could have chosen a more difficult time . I am petrified what will happen to my dog coming through customs in France ,also I hadn’t heard of the 90 day thing either now I am in a total spin .Any advice would be gratefully received.

As said above, the 90/180 day requirements (a Spain law) have been there for years and the checks in place are for all non Schengen EU originating travel, not just UK.
The real change, and what the new Airport barriers are there for (they are linked Europe wide), is after any Brexit without a specific deal the 90 day rule will apply to UK Passport holders travelling to anywhere in the EU similar to US & Australian Passport holders now.
That would mean that if you are logged in and out of say, Spain, for a stay of 90 days you could then be barred from entering France from the UK for example as you have used up your allowance until whatever the period is until its reset.

Hi, would strongly recommend you think seriously about advancing your travel plans and bringing your dog BEFORE 29 March. Above is the link to the governments own guidance on this. It might be OK, but it might not ( see the bit about what happens if the UK becomes " an unlisted third country". ) Since everything is chaos right now and noone knows what's going to happen ...for the sake of 10 days you might have more peace of mind coming 10 days earlier.
