Which aspect of the Millenium bug are you referring too?
The bit where everybody worried their guts out over nothing.
Typical British statement. Never any recognition for an achievement.

The only reason nothing happened was because hundreds of companies engaged thousands of people who devoted millions of hours to explore programming codes to elimate the problem. And, believe me, there would have been a problem.

Had something gone wrong, the public would have delighted in that failure decrying the money spent.

Typically British!

I think you’ll find that the manual passport checks will include scanning your passport on a device that doesn’t read the chip, so works with any type of passport.
That way there will be a record of your entry and exit. As it is, you have to provide that information your passport details when you book or check in for your flights, so they already have this info for air passengers.

Sure they could impose the 90 day rule if they wanted to, simple answer is abide by the rules if you are here for longer become a resident then no problem (well at least thats what we are told!!??)

And it will be easier to become resident this side of Brexit whilst we are still in EU.
