if you have a holiday home in spain you just got to suck it up and wait and see what happens.
most people who are shouting about brexit are those who are panicking about the exchange rate and health care, you should always air on the worst side and make sure you can afford to live if the rate changes.
i can't wait for the exit from the eu and yes i have a hoilday home in spain, this is not a problem for me.
well said transitman...if you come to live in Spain you should become a Spanish national...otherwise it is wanting your cake eating it. Choose your country, choose your alliances. Yes it may get a bit harder for expats...it may also get a lot better...everyone will have to wait and see but please bear in mind that Brexit is about the British INCLUDING those who live in Britain

That is 100% correct Davec but please bear in mind that equally I have had no say in what the EU does , I will happily take my chances with a democratic UK

I class myself as European. Had I still lived in the UK I would class myself the same. I worked with both European and American companies and it was a damn site easier to take a trip to Germany that the USA. This is something that may affect employment for future generations preventing them to explore different countries.
Quite a lot of my clients start off with a holiday home with the idea of eventually retiring here. I expect that may change if reciprocal healthcare disappears. The value of your holiday home may be affected, but if that's not a problem then fair enough.

Yes that could be one scenario [and possibly the most likely] but as we have not yet triggered article 50 let alone started negotiations, I am wondering on whose authority this letter was sent....I would love to see a copy of it

When I bought in Spain, I was a member of the EU and enjoyed the benefits of the EU. The result of the referendum has changed the certainty of how I chose to live.
What happens in the future has yet to be seen however, I do find it offensive being smugly told to "suck it up and see what happens". I for one won't suck it up and will continue to seek a place in the EU for the UK, or its remnants.
I'm sorry if my lack of enthusiasm for the imminent split spoils your celebrations.

But, you never accepted that we were in the EU and, I assume, voted to leave. Why do you not accept that, people like me, are unhappy with the decision of June 23 and will do our utmost to reverse that decision?
Or, are you, simply, a wind-up merchant, in a similar vein to BrownAle?

Whats your understanding of it? Similar to Albania, Borders closed, No Europeans what so ever? Or just the nicer ones who used to play It's A Knockout.
What would you do with the Spanish that own a house in the UK? Would you let them use the NHS?
Stop freedom of movement and your 'Transit' days may be in trouble.
