Looks like Heathcare will end in December and State pensions will be frozen after April 2022.

Still, the Jackboot’ll be off our neck, schools will, one again, have places, hospitals will have beds now the pressure is off and the fields of East Anglia will again hear the sound of English chatter

Happy days!

I am not the most avid of News watchers but what is the latest on Brexit? Are we still leaving on 31st January? Is he still trying to get a deal?

With regards to healthcare and pensions, nothing has changed since October. The only thing new is Children travelling from Spain

There is a deal, its third reading was passed by a vote this afternoon, and it has now been passed to the House of Lords. It will probably get ratified and will pass into law. We will then have left with a deal.

The thing that will then be negotiated by BJ is the free trade agreement, to be concluded, according to BJ, before 31 December 2020

I think they are saying that the UK Government is scaremongering, by airing the following on their gov.uk website:-

Pensions after Brexit
The UK government will continue to pay a State Pension to those eligible in the EU after Brexit. Your UK State Pension will be uprated in April 2020, 2021 and 2022 if you live in the EU, EEA or Switzerland.
I’d regard as the truth but, you know what some people are like?
