lets go for it UK!

Please Mrs May...trigger article 50 now!
I want us to trade with the EU....live and work in the EU...but I do not want to be part of the EU political entity!
The UK will thrive with the rest of the world while the EU gradually dies, with Greece being the first to go under!
If the EU wants to play hardball, let them try...they will end up as losers...and how soon they have forgotten what we did on their behalf in the second World War.
If it is tough to begin with...I am not worried...we will pull through into the sunlit uplands and take back control of our borders and destiny!
The EU is a failed experiment, it will shrivel and die...let us get out of the political stranglehold now...clean and quick.

Hello to all,
Actually, I always wanted to write something about BREXIT, but I honestly did not trust me to do it before. After reading so many in Talk Quesada, maybe a different opinion is also interesting. This is how I think as a stupid German. I may be not as well informed as you are.
"Fake News" was rather before the election on your side. Maybe we are not informed correctly in Germany?
My question and I really thought this many Years before I even heard the Word Brexit.
Was the UK ever in the EU?
There was always a little extra (in Germany called extra sausage) for the English foe example with having their own currency. Your borders were already insuperable for my wife and my stepson from Russia (before Brexit). Despite they have an unlimited stay in the Schengen area. Oh, right, I forgot UK have a little extra and does not belong to the Shengen Countries..
What do you think is actually going to happen with the 350 million pounds that are saved in the UK every week? I hope it’s not Ghost Money.
Of course, I have limited knowing as a German, but in my opinion the “old” decided here for the "young". I feel sorry for the next generation. But I hope that in many Countries People will learn that voting is always better than none voting.
That’s why I respect your vote!
Important for me as a taxpayer hopefully long time still in the EU is, that it is being negotiated hard. Main thing for me is, that there will not be again an little extra for the English. Otherwise, I am the next one to Vote for Germany to leave the EU.
For me it is interesting that in a forum, where people meet the partial live abroad, or like to travel a lot, at the same time want to lock themselves up. For me that is incomprehensible.
Please don’t be angry, this is just one possible way of thinking and there are certainly many others. The thoughts are still free, or is it already changing (see Turkey or USA).
best regards
Lastminute
P.S. If that sounds kind of harsh, please bear in mind that I had only a few years of English. I do not want to OFFEND anyone or any Country.

Let's not got down this road again. Many a forum has been ruined by this topic due to the entrenched views and insults start flying around like confetti.
UK is leaving the EU. Nothing we can say will change that and it is up to those actually negotiating the deal that will have the work to do, not anonymous social network posters who tend to make things up to prove their point and believe things the UK papers actually come up with.
Let's hope whatever the deal is it won't have to great an impact on those of us who actually enjoy living here.
Politics and religion should never be discussed in polite company and this forum is full of polite people.

Well said, lastminute...good to read an opinion on Brexit from outside the UK.
You have not offended anyone, and it certainly is not my intention to cause upset either!
We are all europeans, friends not enemies, but there are different views on how things should develop politically....some like the idea of Federalism, and unelected bureaucracy, others do not...simple as that.
This is a forum, a medium for discussing probems and issues, and as this topic is about Brexit, it is quite legitimate for me to put my point of view.
It is a pretty weak forum that considers mature discussion of politics or religion impolite, but I note that Marcliff had a fair bit to contribute himself.
So anything posted is Ok by me as long as it is not offensive or nasty to anyone, and of course Jan will keep good order on here.

Discussion is good and it is healthy .I am interested in hearing other peoples views, and as Marcliffe says it is a shame that some people can not be civil with each other during a discussion. I am a "dog walker talker" and I would say in all honesty most of the mainland Europeans that I chat with want out. It will collapse, there is no doubt in my mind of that.
But I do think that if they had given Cameron a decent deal it would have struggled on for a few more years.I think that the great and mighty in Belgium now realise that there is nothing to gain by punishing Britain, all that is left now is the skill of our negotiators, and I truly believe we hold all the cards. If we dont get the deal we walk away, and they know that....Interesting times ahead.
