Padrons and their validity have nothing to do with nationality or indeed Brexit. For residents they are valid for 5 years unless you are purchasing something which requires proof of address or are changing Spanish government related documents - when they should be less than 90 days.

So if you already are a registered resident ( and have the green residency card etc)you don't need to do anything about your Padron, except in the circumstances Longjob says.pixie wrote:Yes we are and have been since 2015
After Brexit all British people will need to go through the process of changing the residency card ( which is for EU citizens) for the third country citizen identity card and no doubt an up to date patron will be required for that but all those bridges to be crossed in due course.

Is that 6 consecutive months, or multiple trips of less than 3 months each?

You say you are non resident visitors. Currently spending around 6 months per year. As you have no NIE numbers you must be travelling or renting. As far as anybody knows so far, after the transition period you will no longer be able to do that, certainly not freely. (Assuming you are UK passport holders, and not. E.g. Irish or other EU citizens) You will be restricted to a maximum of 90 days in the Schengen Zone in any 6 month period and your entry and exit will be recorded so no living under the radar possible. One would imagine that there might possibly be some new kind of visitor visa introduced that could cover the circumstances of all those visiting winter"swallows" in Spain, but nobody seems to know yet... But it won't be easy like before since free movement abolished for UK people.
