Its one side of the debate so is meaningless regardless to what remainers will say
Of course the number will be high as there were 16 million who voted remain so in the end what’s new ?
And to correct the balance you are of course absolutely free to start a petition stating a different view. That's the beauty of the Parliamentary petition system.

It’s already been done and debated

And then there was Nigel's damp squib March to Leave which despite "being overwhelmed with people wishing to attend" only managed to break 100 leavers on Saturday. Never mind Nigel reckons it was a great success with over 17 m being there in spirit. Hmmm.

So basically you're saying the 17.4 million people who voted to leave the EU in 2016 were totally thick and didn't know what they were voting for? So we'll just ignore the result and get on with trying to overturn it. Well welcome to the life of British politicians and British democracy. Which coincidentally is officially dead!!

Sorry to rant, I can understand if you're an expat living in Spain, but the aspect is totally different if the UK is your main residence.

I do get fed up with Leaver’s trying to grab the moral high ground with statements like “the people have spoken”, “democracy’s is broken” and, “the will of the people” whenever a second referendum is voiced.

If there were to be a second referendum then, the people polled will be the same people that were polled the first time, give or take a few deaths and a few new voters. It’s not as if, those eligible for a second poll, would be selected from Remainer’s

If opinions change then that’s democracy.

What Leaver’s are attempting to do is railroad a fortuitous result based on false information, speculation and downright lies. They know full well that the result they won, would never be gained again, now that the full story of leaving the EU unfolds.

So if we had a second referendum and 52% of the population voted to remain, but then 1 million people marched in London and sent in petitions to leave, that would be ignored as well. The UK government doesn't serve the electorate, it serves itself.

"What Leaver’s are attempting to do is railroad a fortuitous result based on false information, speculation and downright lies. They know full well that the result they won, would never be gained again, now that the full story of leaving the EU unfolds."

Yes the result was totally unexpected but no-one knows what leaving is like as we haven't had a taste of leaving yet and we probably never will. As I said democracy is dead in the UK.

We seem to be adopting the EU form of democracy which is if a so-called democratic vote goes against the powers that be then us peasants will have to vote again until we get it right,in their view. There is history.Ireland x 2,France,Denmark from memory.
As for that remark above regarding all the lies told by the Leavers. The Remainers,of course, were lily white in that respect with the entire "Project Fear"project.Rather like the arrival of the year 2000 when experts told us aircraft would fall out of the sky or more experts found a dead seagull on a Scottish beach and deduced that millions would die from bird flue. For heavens sake.
