I and my wife have received the very reassuring letter from the UK Gov that pensions and health care will continue for a short time, then your on yer own!!
The real concern is not only did we get a letter, but also a letter for a guy who lived in this property about a decade ago, and has long since passed away.
When they tinker around with things it never works. I should know I worked for the Government!!

You've just got to wait and see and not jump to any conclusions. It doesn't mention anything about "Then you're on your own"

It may be that relatives of the deceased owner have failed to inform DWP and are still collecting his pension, I'd send the S1 back with a note that he's been dead for a decade.

I've not heard of it in Spain but in France you could expect a form from DWP every so often demanding proof of life which you had to get verified by an official entity such as your doctor or a Notary etc.

Fail to comply and your pension would be stopped.

I get one of those "are you still alive" letters every few years from the state, my government pension provider and my private pension.

Not too bad if they arrive in summer and I can get a Brit resident on holiday to say they know me but not so good if they arrive outside when I have to get my bank to say I'm still drawing breath.
