I think its ironic that Glassfull has constantly knocked brexit and the Tories, but if I'm correct still made the decision to leave Spain and return to the UK.

Its also an interesting that apparently 1000's of brits who moved to Spain are now also returning to the UK.

Maybe the UK isn't as bad as its being made out to be?

Where’s the irony? Does it matter where anyone resides, it’s our home country and most have family there.

I stand by what I’d said, the UK, in the G7, is predicted to perform the worst. All have had Covid, all have been affected by the war in Ukraine but, only Britain has had Brexit and, only Britain has this shower of Sh1t in Government.

As for some on here, well, their only opinion is that garnered from Tory Press headlines, they have no real understanding. Probably why some voted leave!

Yep, I saw that article glasful and it can't be a surprise to anyone. John Major, who is an old fashioned Tory has spoken of it being a complete disaster only recently.

I agree with you that what was really at issue over Brexit was certain very rich groups and lobbyists wanting the UK out of Europe because the EU was planning to force them to declare their money fairly, as well as be truthful about their offshore accounts. They were obviously having none of that so they made a very determined effort to "connect" with working class voters over race and immigration issues. If you look at every single newspaper heading during Brexit it is very, very clear what they were trying to do - and they succeeded.

I laugh because a Polish friend of mine said she had been approached several times by people saying that she needs to get ready to pack her bags. Little did these people know that they were being manipulated and this was never going to be the case.

But anyway, you reap what you sew I guess?

Got to say I 100% agree with Glassful, Johnson said jump and the majoity just said "how high" I for one voted against Brexit but I know many over here who didn't bother, assuming it would never happen

I’m not politically biased but anyone misreading the bus quote should revisit it… it doesn’t actually say they were going to pay the NHS an extra £350 million/week, it just says let’s fund the NHS. So many people fell for this (my wife is front line NHS)

Mr, Angry wrote:Why doesn’t someone ask Boris Johnson what happened to the 350 million quid a week that was going towards saving the NHS that was splashed across the Brexit bus? He couldn’t possibly have been fibbing could he?

Sorry, I just realised it's a memory LOL. It's worth looking at what the good arguments actually put forward.

The ONLY information YOU get about Labour controlled councils is what THE MEDIA put out, and my guess is you are a reader of the gutter press. I would suggest you actually go to a public meeting of either of these councils and LISTEN instead of trotting out rightwing propoganda that is being fed to you.

I just gave my opinion, I haven’t “trotted out” any left wing propaganda in my post, so I guess the prize for senseless posting goes to you. Why are you lefties so judgemental about people you don’t even know, just because they have an opinion that’s different to yours.

My oh my such hate and vitriol. As someone who has lived within Spain and Germany during the UK period within Common Market, EEC, and the EU the over riding issue has always been education of the British electorate. NO-ONE but NO-ONE has ever told the truth, be they Conservative Labour nor Liberal. The BREXIT referendum and its result were and manifestation of those lies by all politicians, be they national or international.
As to the current state of the UK politics when you abdicate responsibility for most if not all levers of statehood in the name of the supposed Greater Good, is it any wonder once you then attempt to re take the driving seat, those who should have the best interests of the electorate, politicians and the Civil Service, have no idea how!
