Who knows? But if EU countries require an IDP for UK drivers I would imagine UK would require an IDP from EU drivers.
Your Spanish licence is an EU driving licence and, as UK won't be in the EU, it may change.
All supposed to have been sorted out by now but, nope, nothing as yet.

An IDP is nothing more than a multilingual translation of a driving licence and its sole purpose is to enable a foreign authority to determine that the licence it accompanies is valid in their territory.
Both Spanish and UK photocard licences are in the standard EU format meaning that police in UK will have no difficulty whatsoever in determining validity rendering any translation completely superfluous.
The same is true the other way round which will be why Spain has said that an IDP for UK driving licence holders visiting Spain will not be required, those holding old paper licences would be well advised to obtain one though.
