Philipb1407 - we need to take a vote as we still get our Pensions from the UK and it does make a difference to what we will receive in the future - whether we are in the EU or not makes a difference is what I am talking about. No rise in pensions if we are not in the EU!

Hi
Organizing a proxy vote is not too difficult and is more likely to actually get your vote registered than relying on the postal service. They only send the forms to you 10 days before the election and there is no way you'll get them filled in and back in time.
If you ring your council where you last lived in the UK they will email you a proxy set up form that you can fill in, scan and then send back to them via email. On the form you nominate somebody in your original locale to vote on your behalf and you can indicate if you want this arrangement to exist in perpetuity.
I did mine yesterday. When you send it back ask them to acknowledge receipt so you know they have it.
Bye for now.
Bob.

Seems it’s ok to speak about the election but not ok to post about Brexit. Double standards here.

Whether Boris likes it or not, this election is a brexit vote. They’d have just as well had another referendum as a GE. Policies won’t come into it, if they want out they’ll vote for Boris.

In that case, let’s hope that people’s votes go elsewhere other than the odious Tory’s

An interesting website if you're keen to stop Boris getting back into No. 10. That said, I'd have to really hold my nose to vote for Corbyn:

My wife and I have proxy votes in the UK, but the first time we used them, I was surprised to hear that our friends had to submit them by post before voting day (I thought they'd turn up at the polling station and submit our votes at the same time as submitting their own). This means it's difficult to make a last minute, tactical, change of mind.
