UK ELECTION

I think it a bit of a red herring, Nicola Sturgeon claiming that the SNP’s performance in the recent election should be considered an indication of Scotland’s desire to leave the Union after all, it was a General Election to vote for a Government of the entire UK.

Now, should they perform as well in the Scottish Assembly Elections of 06 May 2021, with Independence in their manifesto, then yes, they could claim it, the will of the people of Scotland.

Ah but would a referendum not tell you whether the people wanted independence? SNP have won every election ( in varying degrees) but winning it just the same and have been in government for 12 years. It was in the manifesto they were elected on. The Scottish parliament voted for it, so why should Westminster not allow it? Scared of losing maybe.

And when the Islands desire Independence from Scotland and leave with, THEIR oil, I assume Edinburgh would be OK with that?

Why would any UK prime minister ever wanted to be labelled as the one who broke up the union ?

most people on this site are remainers jillandsteve. It seems that you only say something to annoy expats who are losing money every month from savings, pensions and other income sourced from the U.K. whilst the threat of Brexit and in particular the threat of no deal hangs over our heads. Why would you wish such a thing on what are probably your friends or neighbors?

He wouldn't, but it might not be up to him. Plus, believe me, the case is anything but closed.
