We've guessed he already has. These types do not always have to reinvent themselves as they sometimes have another user account and even talk to themselves or about themselves sometimes..sad I know. They do slip up though eventually and show their true colours, doesn't take long.

Yes in real terms house prices have fallen in the UK. So good if you want to go back.

With so many properties For sale here in Spain, a glut of ex British property might well depress the Spanish market.

With so many properties For sale here in Spain, a glut of ex British property might well depress the Spanish market.

Whilst it will affect some purchasers to a degree - recently I lost in excess of €20,000 in a property purchase due to sterling / brexit (bad timing) - relatively speaking property is still cheap in Spain, certainly compared with the rest of the UK.

There are also quite a lot of Scandinavians, French & Germans purchasing as well.

Options - If I have 100k sterling to invest. Initially I was going to spend this on rental type property in the UK, but struggled to find anything that was not pretty poor at that money, which further investment would be required. All for a possible 5% return per annum, without factoring in repairs / maintenance.

For 135k euros, a 3 bedroom apartment 20 metres from the beach in Guardamar, frontline. Rent for at least 600pw in summer and likely to go up do due good location, clear & close sea view. For me this is money better spent, than it would have been in the UK - just my opinion! A little work and a possible flip for 200k maybe (modernise kitchen / bathroom etc) - based on others similar. So always possibilities whether it be for investment / part investment - in both countries.

Of course this does not mean all property in Spain is a good investment - there are too many of the overbuilt urb type properties, which is where the main issues are. Look at resales in nice areas / villas etc and there is opportunity for money to be as well spent / invested in Spain.

Aside from the currency costs - things are going up in the UK, exports may prove beneficial, but everything imported is going up - including food, because of the brexit / currency.

I'm not sure i'd want to go back to the UK, as seems to have got worse since I left 13 years ago, more traffic, crime and 50% odd more racial attacks since the brexit. Not good. I go back every 3 months or so & usually glad to get back to Spain - money is one thing, but quality of life is hard to put a price on.
