Best on whatsap, or send me a pm with your number and I will get her to contact you.

They look great but please remember that they are on the dangerous dog list in Spain so there's a lot of hoops to jump to make them legal I know because I've had to do it for my Staffy. Please get in touch if you need any advice, and I can help you if needed. Cheers Jules

My daughter and son in law bring their two Akitas to Spain and went to our local police station who checked and said they are not on the dangerous dogs register.
However Akitas are a special breed and owners need to know what they are doing especially with such young dogs. They are fiercely protective of their owners and are very loyal.
It would be best to contact JAWT for advice. Japanese Akita Welfare Trust.
They are beautiful dogs and I hope a suitable loving home is found for them

he law that governs this is the law Real Decreto 287/2002. It includes a list of potentially dangerous dogs or ‘perros potencialmente peligrosas’ (PPP). This includes the pit bull terrier, rottweiler, Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, dogo argentino, fila brasileiro, Tosa Inu, and Akita Inu. Owners of these dogs must have a licence wherever they are in Spain.

I stand corrected it's the Amita Inu that is on the list. Totally agree with the other post they are used as guard dogs but extremely loyal to the initial owner. They really need very experienced owners of Akitas then you and the dogs will thrive and they will blossom! Good luck!
