Young cat needing a home

Young cat needing a home

Postby claireS17 » Tue Aug 04, 2020 9:12 pm

I have a lovely little tabby cat that needs a home. She's about 16 weeks old. Very sweet but very active and needs someone who can offer some more time and attention she really needs. She's been an indoor cat with us but would suit being able to go outside as she's so full of energy.

Please let me know if you would like pictures or more information.

Very very sad to have to do this but she needs someone who is around more to play with and care for her.

Hi,
Seeing your previous posts you were keen to adopt a cat. Give her time, she's young and obviously going to be energetic, this does not mean she needs to go outside. There are lots of great toys you can buy to keep her entertained whilst you are not there. You chose her so give her a chance as there are so many others out there looking for a home. Thanks :)

Hi

Yes I totally understand. We also have three other rescue cats and they have all settled. This one has unfortunately not settled. I know there's tonnes looking for homes especially at the moment but I'm hoping someone might be happy to take her and give her a better home more suitable for her needs.

I would like a cat but the last one kept bringing rodents home which I am petrified of, I am also worried about the busy road near us, I thought about having one that we would keep as an indoor cat, we are here a lot as retired, me especially as I have difficulties walking. My husband doesn't want an indoor cat because of the smell. If you have had an indoor cat is it very smelly please?

A single indoor cat will not be particularly smelly. Cats are very clean animals and wash themselves regulalrly! You need to keep a litter tray for the cat obviously but if you use a covered litter tray and clean the litter tray daily there will be no build up of smell. You can even disguise the litter tray as a cupboard or piece of furniture so it is not obvious. The main issue with an indoor cat is that it needs to have always been an indoor cat - a cat that is used to going outside will not be happy indoors, whereas if a cat is used to being an indoor cat ( like this little one appears to have been) , it is perfectly happy with its territory.

You can have problems if you have more than one or indeed several cats as they don't always get on and you would need a lot of space for them to have their own territory within the house. It is also possible to build an outdoor pen or cat run ( we have one with a cat flap out from the house.) But one little cat will be not be smelly and can be a great companion. Indoor cats tend to live longer, not least because they are safe from accidents and fights.

:text-goodpost:

She really is a gorgeous girl. I wish I could keep her but she deserves more room to herself with someone who can give her more time.

Oh she is gorgeous, she looks like a brown spotted Bengal, if she has Bengal in her she will be lively and playful. I would love her but current (indoor) cat would not put up with a rival...

Hi All,

Bean is still with us and still really needs a home where she can run around a bit more and some more attention if anyone is interested. She's a very loving girl and I don't want to see her go but want her to have the best quality of life she can!

Hopefully someone out there needs a buddy!
