New Forum - Safety and security information, hints and tips

We have added a new forum section on TalkQuesada called Safety and security information, hints and tips.

It's not that we have that many security problems living in this area ( it's definitely safer than the UK and some other countries) but any instances of petty crime need to be communicated quickly, to help us all know how to be as safe as possible.

This new forum can also be useful too for any other help. I will also be transferring things like what to carry in the car when driving and other similar information, which will be extra helpful to those newbies to the area as well.

Having the new forum section will save the information being lost in the discussion forums and help us to find out how to stay safe & secure while here.

If anyone would like to add any helpful hints & tips for home security or similar things in this forum, please do.

I know when we moved into our house in Spain it took a while for us to find out the type of security needed and how to avoid being the victim of opportunist crime by, for example, being careful to lock all grills & gates at all times & not leaving valuables or keys anywhere near doors or windows. It was also sheer luck that we didn't get stopped by the police and fined for not having the correct documents and safety equipment in the car with us in those days.

Therefore we thought, with all your help, it would be good to get as much of this information all in one place, just to give us all the information to help us all to be more careful and aware.
