Supermarkets closed 9th & 12th

Supermarkets & shops including Consum are closed on Tues 9th Oct & Friday 12th October.

It seems that another Red Day (or possibly a local holiday day) is taking place. The 9th Oct wasn't widely advertised.

9th is Valencia Day Jan. We'll go on the 11th

Yes thanks Glyn, I gather it is now, but it wasn't on the Red day list at the beginning of the year. Wonder if it's a blue day?? It's strange though because in England when we have bank holidays they are well publicised and the dates are on all calendars. The Town Hall lady only had the Red days at the beginning of the year and even she wasn't sure about any others.

Does anyone know if there are calendars in Spain for each region showing all main & local holidays or are the local holidays made up as they go along? :lol:

My calendar says its a blue day 9th and red day 12th. Perhaps it's another one of these changes that Spain has done and forgot to tell the printers!!!!! ;-/
