I am looking for opinions & advice about life in Daya Nueva

Postby Paul1000 » Thu Apr 13, 2023 12:48 pm

Hi all,

I would like to know more about living in Daya Nueva from anyone who used to live there or currently lives there.
Of course, it is totally subjective and I do understand that, but that´s fine.
We currently live in the Rojales/golf side of Quesada but we are looking to move and downsize.
We are a retired couple, we have a car but we would like to be able to walk to amenities.
Are there any/many non native Spanish living in the town, I can get by with some basic Spanish conversation but it would be useful to understand what other nationalities live there.
Specifically, we are interested in feedback on what part to buy in, what are the amenities in Daya Nueva, are there shops/s, bars & restaurants, health centre, farmacias, bus service etc.
Thanks for reading.

I have cycled through & stopped for refreshments in both Daya Nueva & Daya Vieja, both are very sleepy villages with, from what i could see, very little in the way of amenities. I would suggest you take the short drive there, stop at the kiosk bar "Raquel" & speak with Rachel, she is Welsh married to a Spanish guy & will most likely answer most of your queries.
Regards,
Dave.
