Train to Alicante

From Quesada, please can I confirm that our nearest train station to catch a train to Alicante is Albatera-Catral?
Also has anyone done it recently and parked up ok at the train station?

Yes, plenty of parking at San Isidro where it goes from, about 30 minutes journey and about 7 euros return. You will need to buy your ticket from the machine in the station as there are no longer any staff there.

Can anyone advise if they have used the renfe site to buy tickets? We want to go to Alicante on 23rd Sept from San Isidro and it's saying that no tickets are available at this time.

I don't think you can buy cercania - suburban - train tickets on line, but the machines at the station are easy to use, or the ticket inspector will sell you one when he comes round.
Seem to remember it was 4.40€ for a return ticket last I went.

Sorry one other query, do the trains to Alicante go quite regularly from this station?

Trains about every hour weekdays, less on Sundays.
Here's the timetable I downloaded in June - think it's still valid;
