I just wonder don't you have to pay tax in uk and Spain if you are resident and have a property in uk

Was just thinking out loud, as someone mentioned keeping a property in uk and renting out
Long termwas wondering how this would affect income.

If you are resident in Spain any you would be subject to the tax laws at that time and would have to disclose any income so it would be advisable to speak to a Spanish tax adviser regarding this.

Back to the original question.
Your income is plenty to enjoy your life in Spain especially as you have no rent or mortgage to pay.
We have a pension paid to our bank in Spain which currently comes to €1600 a month. Not so long ago it was only €1400 a month due to exchange rates.
That is far more than enough to live on, enjoy ourselves, run a car, go out several times and go on trips. Even after the bills start coming in (this month we have IBI council tax, electricity, water, community fees and house insurance all at the same time plus Spanish income tax if there is a liability) there is always a healthy balance in our Spanish account.
As said, your biggest problem would be health cover. You can join the Valencian region health care scheme but you have to have been here a year before you can do that. Private medical insurance would be needed and the prices obviously vary depending on age, health history and so on.
With house prices going up and up in UK and down and down in Spain, the advice to keep property in UK is sound. You would have to pay tax on it in UK and declare it in Spain (the tax you pay in UK is taken off your Spanish liability) but would both provide an extra income and keep your foothold in UK.
So, yes, your income is enough to live on in Spain and comfortably as well.
