Certificado registro de la union

The bank wants one of these in order to open an account.
I think it replaces the old residencia.
Anyone know how to get one please?

Do you not have an NIE number

It's always been Register as a foreign citizen of the EU residing in Spain. We just call it Residencia but only non-EU citizens actually get that. I assume they need it if you wish to open a resident bank account as opposed to a non-resident one so they don't have to provide the 2 yearly non-res certificates.

Yes I have an NIE number
I am told to go to the police station and they will tell me where to obtain the Certificado - a green paper.
