Change Machines

Change Machines

Postby Higgy » Tue Jul 03, 2018 2:19 pm

You know in the UK they have the machines where you can put in your loose change you've built up and it counts it and gives you a ticket which you can present for cash.
Anyone know of such a machine this way on that does it for the euros (small copper 1 cent etc)?
Thanks

Use the self service checkouts in Carrefour or Alcampo. When you’ve done pouring your change in you have the option to pay the balance by credit/debit card if you wish.

Otherwise, if you have a Spanish bank account you can drop your coins off and they’ll count them and credit their value into your account a week or so later.

Pete.

Thanks Pete,

Are those machines just if you are purchasing something?
I know I could do that, but I was more after one of those machines where you just pour in the change, it counts it and gives you a ticket.

Thanks again, Higgy

This has been brought up before and no-one came up with where one of the machines are in Spain.
Your bank will give little plastic containers to put them in and you hand them in and they credit your account once it's been counted (taking about 50 euros in 1 and 2 cents and wanting them counted there and then might upset the customers behind you).

Thanks Marcliff,
Unfortunately I don't have a Spanish Bank Account, back to the drawing board methinks!!
Charity Shop might have to be the beneficiary, I'm sure they will appreciate it.
