We used Moneycorp for quite some time to send regular payments across from UK. It was always a good rate (better than doing it from the bank) and very quick.

Not done it the other way, though.
They did have a website where you could enter the amount to send and see what rate they are offering you. Don't know if that is still going.

There’s no added commission, it’s built into the rate! The rate you see is exactly what you get. Used them when buying our house after being let down by the idiots at Currencies Direct. Had excellent service from Moneycorp.

You don't say which way you are sending the funds or what other accounts are involved, but if you have a Wise account why wouldn't you just use that? I'd be very surprised if it cost you more and the rates and fees are transparent on the app.

If you look on COMPARE on the Wise site it will compare the rates of most of the others and they are always a better deal than Moneycorp your legal team get commission for getting you to use Moneycorp

That’s not quite correct Fred. I have both a Wise account and a Moneycorp account. When you do a currency conversion, the NET sum you receive into your bank is always marginally better with Moneycorp than with Wise.

However, with MC having a UK IBAN number, the receiving Spanish bank will very likely levy a charge for receiving the transfer.

Wise show you all the costs separately and Moneycorp just build them into the exchange rate you get. The difference is pretty insignificant unless you are changing thousands and of course, bank charges for using MC to receive funds will cost you more than Wise.
