Hi,
I think that you're better off asking your bank as they may have special deals :-)

Use no fee UK credit cards such as Santander Zero, Halifax clarity..... many more. Don't use them in ATMs though.

UK Santander accounts allow to to withdraw fee free cash from Santander ATMs in mainland Spain, using your UK debit card. (make sure you press the "don't convert" button during the transaction.

My banking app (BBVA) lists 12 different credit cards that I am eligible for, but I've never tried applying for one. It's probably best to check with your own bank and see what they would offer you as a resident.

As Paul58 has said there are fee-free UK credit cards, but then you are dependent on the rate of the day which may not be the best.

You can have a Spanish credit card just as a non-res, straight forward, I just asked at the bank and they sent me one. But then I cancelled it. Found I didn’t really need it. The bank card was just as good and one less card to lose.
