Grrr Sabadell

Grrr Sabadell

Postby Calamity J » Fri Jul 02, 2021 2:05 pm

I went into the Rojales branch of Sabadell this morning at 11:45, I was the only customer there. I said hello to the cashier but she ignored me & carried on playing with her bits of paper. Eventually she deigned to look up to ask what I wanted, which was to pay cash into my parent’s account held there. No, I was told it’s not possible after 11.00, come back next week. WTH??
When I asked why, she decided to start a conversation up with a colleague - I had been dismissed…
I was fuming & for a moment wondered if I had walked into some place other than a national bank. They’re so consistent with their appalling customer service it’s amazing they have any customers left. This latest episode another reason I no longer hold an account with them.

They prefer you to pay in via the cashpoint.

For that I presume you would need a card, it’s my parent’s account & they are in the UK.

We don't have a card with Caixa we just need the card number and enter that at the ATM. I assume Sabadell would be the same. They are trying to avoid you using the cashiers and forcing you towards the ATMS.

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ve never paid in at an atm in Spain before so don’t know what’s required.

I'd put a complaint in to their head office, I feel us Brits are no longer required here in Spain, between banks n doctor surgerys etc

Funnily enough I put a 1* review on Google & they responded asking me to put a full account on their Facebook page so they can investigate. Could it be that they’re finally noticing a loss of customers? Wouldn’t be surprised if the majority are Brits!

All the flippin' same. It's as if they don't want your money. I had a disagreement in Bankia/Caixa this week because I refuse to stand in the street and withdraw a large amount of cash with people standing behind me AND the ATM's don't always work.

It’s why we left, they are only interested in expanding their customer base. When you enter you have to take a ticket to show your number in the queue, there is usually 5/6 people in front of you and each case takes an age. Even though there are a number of staff at desks in the office, only 2 seem to deal with day to day banking facilities.
I am very disappointed with banks in Spain and have tried most in Quesada.

I needed to deposit 2k into the bank (Caixa) they told me to use the ATM. I said you can only deposit 1000 so need to pay it to a cashier. Oh no, can't do that we don't take money in this bank!!.Unbelievable.
