International Transfers

International Transfers

Postby Rainbow » Thu Nov 07, 2013 7:03 pm

Hi,
I have just had an offer accepted on a house in Spain. Just wondering if anyone can recommend the best way to transfer money and pay the seller. Would it be better to pay the solicitor or pay the money straight into a bank account. I just don't what to be caught paying a large sum for a bankers fee.

This has been on a while, did not see it. We are in the same position. Transferred the money directly to my solicitors. They are adamant that they will not transfer any monies, until, they are completely satisfied that everything is correct and legal.
My advice, go through your abagado.
Wish you luck

Thanks T

I have since spoken with my solicitor who has advised me as long as the funds are in their client account 3 days before , they will arrnge to pay the seller, however there is a 50 euro charge for this but beats the charges by the banks. :D

Good luck to you too
