Loose Change
Loose Change

Does anyone know of a loose change counting machine anywhere in the area. My change box is overflowing and I don't want the bother of having to count it and put it into those funny little plastic holders to take it to the bank.
I appreciate there may be a hefty commission for this service but it is one I am prepared to pay.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Take it to a supermarket with a self-service checkout like Carrefour or Alcampo and just pour it into the slot. When you’ve done, or when you feel you’re too embarrassed to continue anymore, you can pay the balance by card.

Many
Thanks Pete, I have never thought about that as we never use self service checkouts. I'll give it a try.

I don’t know - presumably there is a limit to how much change they can hold, but I’d guess that you can get a fair bit in there on each visit, so it shouldn’t take you too long to get rid of a collection of change.
The other alternative is to take it to your bank in a bag. You hand it over and they count it and credit your account at some point in future. Depending on the Bank there may be a charge.

I live in the U.K. And my chosen charities are based there. It will most likely end up in their hands, but I would like to turn it into a more usable format before passing it on.
I do donate to charities in Spain too, but this is likely to be €100 plus, and I would like it to go to one of my chosen causes in the UK
