Notary Fees

Notary Fees

Postby Dannyboy » Wed Sep 16, 2015 12:25 pm

Following the signing of property deeds etc at the Notary office when, in general, are the notary fees payable:

Are they payable there and then?
Do they invoice you or via your fiscal representative?
Do Notary offices generally accept payment by debit/credit card rather than cash?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you all.

Jeremy Metcalfe is an amazing source of information, he has been our Fiscal Rep for 16 years, so ring him and ask him 966766543

Normally your lawyer will give you full instructions regarding the amount payable to the notary for fees, any smaller taxes payable taxes and other costs you should know about. Then you would send it to your lawyer in advance of completion and they will sort it out for you at the notary on the day of signing. That's the easiest and best way of working. You're paying your lawyer, so let them do all the hard work. :) p.s. Congratulations!
