Sale Proceeds from Caixabank to UK

Anyone know the cheapest way to move house sale proceeds from Caixabank in Spain to Santander in U.K. ?

Can you do multiple transfers (I assume capped) online or is it best to use someone liike Transferwise?

Yes, I thought so but I thought I read a post on here previously that you could transfer a certain amount per day yourself if you used online banking - does anyone know if that’s correct and if so how much is the limit?

You can transfer up to 15,000 euros every 3 days to another bank but I would transfer it to Transferwise debit account then wait for the best exchange rate before transferring to Santander as UK pounds or setup a Transfer Sterling card account

Please don’t just transfer from your spanish bank direct to your U.K. bank, that would mean u lose out on a fortune, compared to using transferwise.

Transfer wise uses their Brussels base for euros, you have to open an euro account with transfer wise, transfer euro to the account which you will be charged for, then it’s transferred onwards to UK in sterling and you are charged again . We did this a month ago and found it was still cheap.
