Hi guys. Can anyone offer guidance on the email I got from Suma which I have copied below. Is this a new charge???? Not familiar with this as I am a non resident. Is it yet another form of tax?????

We would like to inform you that the voluntary period of payment for the IBI and other fees has started with a November 6th, 2020 deadline.

Dear customer,

We would like to inform you that the voluntary period of payment for the IBI and other fees has started with a November 6th, 2020 deadline.

It's regarding the IBI (council tax) on your property. the notice is informing you that the payment period is now open and you have until 6th November to pay without penalty.

You may have a direct debit set up for this bill and, if so, you won't need to do anything. Check your Spanish bank statements for September last year.

We've received the same email and have just paid ours online.
