TIE - Bank Certificate

TIE - Bank Certificate

Postby JayKam » Fri Aug 07, 2020 1:06 pm

Hello

We are looking to apply for TIE/Residency. One of the requirements is to prove that there are sufficient funds in our Spanish bank account. We are with Sabadell bank in Quesada. How easy/difficult is it to get a stamped certificate from the bank to prove we have had sufficient funds.

Does it have to be done in person at the bank or by applying electronically.

Would appreciate if anyone can share their experience please.

Thank you. Did you need to make an appointment or just turn up. Did it take long and where there any charges.

Did you print off the statements yourself and just get the bank to stamp them or were the bank happy to print off them there and then??
TIA

Have you phoned the bank line and asked for it to be done, then hopefully you can just pop in to pick up, as with all banks some are not as helpful as others my Sabadell is great my first one in Orihuela city was a walking nightmare, couldn’t believe same company, still queuing outside some branches to get in

I believe that either the Sabadell in Benijofar or Quesada is closed until 28th Aug.

You will need to have €9.500 to have in bank account and to have private health insurance to get TIE residency.which has gone up when l applied for residency in Spain.good luck.

The current financial requirements for new applicants wanting a TIE, is Eu 9,000 per person, or Eu 750 per month for a minimum of 3 months. People wanting to swap an existing Residency certificate for a TIE do not have to meet this requirement.

However, my wife spoke to Uma of Get Legal in Spain on Friday, and Uma said there has been a suggestion that the financial requirements are going to be reduced to Eu 5,000 each or Eu 550 per month - Uma said they hope to have confirmation, one way or the other, early next week.
