I would be very interested to know this too.

I wrote a post a while back about a new box called "uk TV everywhere" that at the time of writing was being promoted by Alan Sugar but had no replies - Here's the post link :

Would love to hear any opinions on the Alan Sugar promoted box and the airbox lite too. Both very interesting but if they do work I expect we would be hearing more about them generally anyway.

:text-thankyouyellow:

Hello Mike,

Are you talking about the Airbox or the 'Uk TV Everywhere' box?

99 euro for the box and 12.50 per month is very good. We pay £12.50 a month for our BT vision box in the UK and if this is portable it could be brought back and forth from the UK.

Sounds too good to be true or is that your point (above)?

Do you know any further details?

Jan - confused.com :?

PS. Just thought, if it needs broadband isn't that the same as using a Slingbox (and no monthly fee with that)???

Its called airbox lite. www.airboxspain.com or phone Garry on 602 563 325. You need a USB stick to record. A friend of mine has just had it installed and he is over the moon. I think the 12.50 a month is a service charge as if sky change their frequencies or codes the box will need to be reprogrammed. Yes you can use it anywhere in the world providing you have 2mb wifi. what bit of the info did you not understand Blackvelvet. ERP.. electric programme guide, tells you whats on for the next week. Simply you can watch any programme from UK, view any movie ever made plus the latest. Watch any sport from all the normal supplies...................sky, ESP, and now BT plus the Arabic stations broadcasting premiership football. Mike

It still sounds too good to be true! I would think that it might struggle & buffer on a 2 mb WiFi Broadband. We have 38mb Broadband in the UK for our TV so would love to hear from someone who has this TV service on 2mb with no problems.

I will get you his email address Jan and BB speed. Correction, when sky change frequencies or codes your stream is changed at base and you don't have to send it to base to be changed. Mike

as you say jan, it all sounds to good to be true, i just find all of these so called offers very confusing, as we are moving in december and there is a 2.4mtr dish there we have ordered a sky box from some one local, its 280e delivered and fitted that includes 150e for a year to sky, then 150e per year, it has pause, rewind etc, sounds a good solid deal to me.
