Above - think that's Mr. Fitzgerald, who has a little stall, does a few electrical bits, phone top-ups and the odd android box. I believe he is still there.

If stuck or want a TV box which works properly, without the usual update or stability issues of Kodi/Android - there are better options available. With all of these things, you pay more, the more options you get of a better service.

Kodi/Android has over the last few years become more and more problematic with the free streams, with apps being given legal notices (so constant changes of software needed), streams oversubscribed (picture freezes/on and off) - all sorts. So you can update software, but it is a constant battle to keep the thing working & even when it does work, it's rarely stable for too long. Most people for a stable 'main' TV service use alternative options now.

Ultimately 'free' is cheapest - but of course. However, if you want less aggro & more TV and something nearer a Sky box in use rather than a fragmented app solution - a hosted solution and partnered hardware is simply easier to use, offers more facilities and more stable. But, not free. ;)

The only decent FREE TV, is via satellite (but free is only UK terrestrials). Any Free IPTV or relying on freely provided and unmonitored streams, is NOT the same. You simply have no control over content or various apps - and they can disappear as quickly as they arrive.
