Anyone got experience of accessing UK TV channels with an Apple TV box and use of a VPN, or even just using the app.
Is it possible.
What channels are available
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Depending what generation Apple TV you have. I have a very early one. So can’t download my own apps. It’s been good for Netflix and YouTube as an extra tv. With the much newer ones you can download your own apps so with vpn can’t see why you shouldn’t be able to pick up uk Telly. Don’t think you would get iplayer though.

Apple TV is a bit restrictive in terms of 'only what Apple likes'. So if looking for generic or other TV services outside of the usual Prime/Netflix etc - then Apple is generally not the way forward.
Many use hacked/cracked Firesticks and they are not ideal too - but people buy them as have the Amazon name, generally the cowboys are quick to recommend this option. However, there are performance and stability question marks. especially in dealing with 3rd party apps.
Better to get something like a Formuler box - which is both unrestricted and comes with decent manufacturer's support and software - which will allow access to any content including other paid-type services, as well as access to the usual google Play Store apps.
