Broadband, Wi-fi tv provider

Broadband, Wi-fi tv provider

Postby LOWSUN10 » Wed Oct 13, 2021 12:12 am

Looking for recommendations. Just asking the forum who has the best reputation for internet, Wi-fi and tv package. I’ve been messed about with firestick Providor and had the speed checked by the internet provider ( it’s a bit of an orange logo) and they said the speed is perfect ( maybe they would) but it’s not doing what it should, what is the best way forward without breaking the bank? Thanks.

Beware of Vega Fibra the speed they advertise is the input at the modem. The output will be considerably lower particularly with WiFi

We have Gofibra ,600mb for 20,90€ .We look tv with that and it is perfect.Instal and router free.
The other way , Xenet.es ilimitado also 20,90€ but you have to buy a 4G router by yourself ,the benefit is than that you can take it with you everwhere in EU ,roaming is free in EU .Look in my campingcar tv with that and it works great.

The 5Ghz band is much better, but some older firesticks had problems with it. Lastly internet speed for IPTV can be as low as 5/10Mps as long as nothing else is using the wifi at the same time this causes freezing. An old router cannot cope with to many things using wifi at the same time so the newer the better. I use a little box bought for the firestick that allow me to connect via ethernet cable and I have no problems at all. Hard wired is always better.
Hope that helps you.

Hard wired is always better but not always convenient to have cables running round the house. Otherwise we wouldn't need WiFi

My point is we all know Hard wired is better but why mention it when most people prefer wifi perhaps you'd isn't grasp what I said about convenience

The orignal poster ask: "Looking for recommendations" and that what I did (30+years in It) think I should know.

This is why people don't post on this forum as they get shot down for reply or trying to help.

I will never post on this forum again just read it and move on.

If you connect your laptop or computer to your router with a cable you will get the speed quoted by your fiber internet provider.
TVS TVS TVS CABLE connection will only give you 100 Mbps . Rj45
Apple TV . Android boxes . Fire sticks. 95 % top speeds rj45 cable connection.
100 Mbps download speed.
The only item that's will give you high speed WiFi is your MOBILE TELEPHONE ON
5.0 NETWORK..
SO we are wasting money here in Costa Braga. Paint for 600! 1000 Mbps download
If you want to have a stronger WiFi signal get a plugin WiFi extender .o
