Catch up TV - router question

We hope to have catch up TV but have been advised that we will need a router with a UK IP address. So, seeking advice / thoughts from anyone who already has one as to what we might buy. Thanks.

We use our laptop (easy to stick a VPN on) for BBC iPlayer. For some reason, ITV catchup works on our Freesat without a VPN.

Agreed, I use a computer running google chrome with the free extension "hola better internet" and this allocates a UK IP address at the click of a button.. Hey Presto,, watch any UK catch up! And its all free, which you can then use chromecast to send to your big tv!
