Channel 5

Channel 5 channels moved frequencies about a week ago.
If you are using a Sky or Freesat box then these will have automatically updated.
Otherwise you need to perform a channel scan on your TV / satellite receiver, on their new frequency :
Channel 5s old frequency was 10.964 H, 22.000, 5/6, DVB-S, QPSK
Channel 5s new frequency is 11.307 H, 27.500, 2/3, DVB-S, QPSK.
No need for any dish alignments. Just a rescan

Some of the information posted / copied and pasted by chrisdee is about 7 years out of date... "A number of channels have moved from Astra 1N to Astra 2F" - "The reception of the UK channels received in Spain from the new satellite is currently unknown" - this happened in 2012/14 when the previous UK TV satellites, were replaced with the current satellites, with no other satellite replacements or change for at least 7 more years.

Just do a scan of the new frequency only...11307 H 27500 2/3
If you still do not pick up that frequency then you have an issue with your dish / alignment / LNB.

There is no problem for them to fix. All Sky and Freesat boxes have been automatically updated to the new frequency. If using other satellite receivers then you need to scan the new frequency. If you cannot receive the channels on their new frequency, C5 cannot help or fix it for you, as from their side (and for millions of other viewers) all is working fine.

From 28th November.

Sky moved its satellite receivers over to Channel 5’s new satellite transponder on Monday morning. Most viewers won’t need to take any action.

Channel 5 has been simulcasting its services across both old and new frequencies since September allowing TV platforms to prepare for the change. Earlier this month, Freesat receivers were migrated across. Sky has now begun the process for its satellite receivers.

On Monday, Channel 5 HD, Channel 5 SD and Channel 5+1 were moved across. 5ACTION, 5USA and 5USA+1 followed on Tuesday, with the remaining services due to switch across on Wednesday.

Coinciding with the switch, Channel 5 is withdrawing services from its old frequency (transponder 57 – 10964 H). They can now be found on Astra 2F, transponder 109 – 11307H.

The vast majority of Sky satellite viewers will not need to take any action, thanks to an automatic update.

Sky viewers who see a blank screen on any of these channels should reboot their receiver. Viewers in the Republic of Ireland, where Channel 5 is not on the Sky channel list, can re-add the channels using the new tuning parameters.

Freesat
Freesat already completed the migration on 15th November. But devices that didn’t receive the channel update may need to be rebooted/retuned.

Free-to-air+ receivers you can either scan the new frequency 11307H - 27500 2/3
