Is there somewhere I can get my Win 7 desktop PC repaired? It only has a flashing light when switched on.

Quesada Computers, behind Sabadell and Santander banks in Ciudad Quesada. Speak to Paul. Really helpful and professional.

Take out the battery then press the on switch for 1 minute then leave the battery out and plug in your AC adaptor and switch on if the laptop works you can replace the battery back in the laptop if not come back on here and let us know

Thanks but it is a desktop PC not a laptop. The only battery is the small Li one which backs up the RTC

Could be a memory issue. Pop the SIMMs out and re-seat them.
If that doesn’t work, if there’s more than one SIMM then try with just one of them plugged in.

Because i was foolish enough to allow microsoft updates on my perfectly working windows 7 everything started going wrong, i took it to a shop & asked if they could do a clean install, they said yes, but would have to be windows 10. What a lot of rubbish that is. Can anyone help advise me as to who may be able to put my old windows 7 back, i have the disks. Now i know i will leave updates turned off when the machine is working ok. i even had to change my keyboard as it was not compatible with 10, & Defender is constantly giving me threats warnings, i could go on, but if you have a choice don't change.

Windows 10 in my opinion is far better than 7 which is now really outdated
If Defender is giving threat warnings it may be that you have had a Counterfeit version of Windows 10 installed and the program used to validate it has been thrown up as a virus
If you really want to go back to an antiquated system then it is quite easy to do , Just put in the Install disk that you have whilst the PC is running then switch off and restart it should then try to install Windows 7 if not you will need to go into Bio Settings by pressing F2 or DELETE repeatedly on start up and set the machine to BOOT from DVD/CD then press F10 to save and exit, restart and just follow the instructions, when it asks for Windows 7 product code look for a sticker on the machine the code will be there or on the packaging the disks were in
