Confusion over IPTV

Confusion over IPTV

Postby pin1953 » Sun Nov 10, 2019 8:04 pm

Hi,

I'm new to area and I'm trying to get some contract information. I took over the contract of an IPTV service from DVBLab. The original owner was paying 29 euros month but then DVBLab told me that did not include catch up TV and that would cost me 39 euros . I mentioned this to a neighbour and they said they had catch up service for the 29 euros a month and also the previous owner of my property also had it. I queried this with Lars at DVBLabs and he said this wasn't true and my neighbour must be mistaken as the 29 euros a month only included the basic English channels with no catch up. I find this hard to believe and I'm not sure DVBLabs are being straight with me. Can anybody using DVBLabs throw any light on this. Thanks,

Steve

Just buy a loaded box in Zoco market on Sunday and you’ll never need to pay subscription fees again

Not true, after the initial €300 for the box and first year there is an an ongoing sub of €150/yr.

I think there is some misunderstanding with DVBLabs.

Their base IPTV only offering is €15/mt and unlike any other service I've heard of has one month's worth of catchup not just 7, I'm watching something from 3 weeks ago at this very moment.

That service does not in include any sport though (yippee!), as I understand for that you will have to pay €25.

I suspect you actually have your whole Internet service from them though not just IPTV, that would explain a the prices you mention.

I don't know What possible reason you think they might have to not be straight with you, I've been with them for the whole of the 18 months I've been here and found them totally honest and trustworthy.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I have the fibre and tv package. The only reason I queried it because I am getting two different stories. One off DVBLabs and one off a neighbour who is also with them. So I suppose I was just asking if anybody else had the 29 Euro package and what did it include. Cheers Steve

DVBLabs offer two €29 packages one without TV and another with but only Freesat the difference being in the setup fee which in the latter case presumably includes a Freesat receiver.

For the €39 package you get an IPTV box with the full range of channels (not sure about sport) with catchup being an integral feature.

That is what Lars is telling you so why would you doubt him?

I suppose it's possible that depending on how long they have been with the service what your neighbour and previous owner have or had and what they are or were paying could be different but as essentially a new customer it's of no relevance to you.

The problem is that it’s not s new contract,I’ve just taken over an old one which had to be re switched on and changed over to me . Why do I doubt what Lars is telling me? Probably I’m just an old cynic who has learned through life expectancies that salesman do not always give you the whole truth It would help if the website was more specific. Thanks for your reply’s cheers Steve

About 9 months ago I bought an Amazon Firestick, which in addition to the usual apps, has IPTV loaded on it for a one off payment of E130. This E130 included the 1st years subscription to IPTV. It's just a straightforward plug and play. Stick it into the HDMI port on your TV and away you go. Obviously you have to tune your WiFi into it - no big deal.

When this year is up, I have to contact the person who sold it to me, and he will renew my IPTV subscription for another year, for E50.

I made the purchase in Ireland, but the seller confirmed that he was importing these Firesticks from the UK. It works perfectly both in Ireland and in Spain. Series's (spelling?) are down at present, but all the films and live TV are working normally.

I was at one of the local markets around Quesada there about 6 weeks ago (can't remember which market). A trader there was offering me IPTV for E17 per month (=E204pa). I inquired from him how much an annual subscription was. He told me this wasn't possible to get an annual subscription, I had to pay by the month. I didn't argue, just moved on.

Looks to me like he was one of the people over there who doesn't want to kill the goose that lays the golden egg.

TVTAPro is a Kodi plugin so simply saying "load it" is completely misleading.
