They most probably weren't positioned on the Astra satellite which is at 28.2 east and carries all the uk channels..you will need to reposition the dish by a small margin...if the dish is easily accessible you can reposition using a downloadable phone app..Satellite postitioner....We did ours using a small tv visible from the dish and moved the dish until a tv station appeared..The satellite signal is very narrow so it's a task getting it spot on..a few centimeters out a the signal is gone !
Alternatively you can get it repositioned by a satellite dish fitter...they usually charge 60+ euros to reposition ! Also check your dish size...to get clear uk channels you need a minimum dish size of 1.4 metres.

I believe the dish for German TV is a lot smaller than the one for English TV.
You will need a 1.6/1.9 dish for freesat.
Failing that IPTV may be your best option.

OP doesn't want Internet so without that IPTV is not an option.

Maybe a typo but 1.4m is minimum not 1.6, not sure that size even exists.

Yes, there is a 1.6m dish. A 1.4m dish in many places in Quesada will not be enough. HD channels will probably be missing as will the weaker channels like Drama, Yesterday and so on.

Television Technology advertises on here and are really very good at either installing or adjusting satellite dishes.

Usually, for the German TV, you can use a 60cm dish diameter (minimum). This size dish is simply too small for UK TV's main terrestrial channels. So you would need a bigger dish and a new bracket too - (usually comes with the dish).

Without even checking where its pointing a quick measurement across the face of the dish should tell you if wasting your time.

A good quality 1.4 metre dish minimum will do the job for UK satellite programming.

Paul, are you doing dish realignments at the moment? My 1.9 dish appears to have moved a bit and I am missing several channels your guys got back for me a few years ago and some of the HD channels are pixellating quite badly along with a couple of others.
I didn't want to call in case you are still in semi lockdown.
