Yes we have lost it too. We get ours through TV Horadada. There has been a message on their information pages explaining channels are moving/unavailable due to external changes which they hope will be resolved in February.

Hi, food network and food network +1 changed transponder frequencies on the 19th of January. A blind scan should find it for you.

It is on 12382 Horizontal 27500 FEC (if required on box) 5/6

However - it seems to be picked up on the 1.8-1.9 metre dishes, but when went to check on smaller 1.4 - did not pick up. Suggesting that this is a weaker signal, the frequency is high up the spectrum and on the surface of it, looks like when the frequency recently changed, it's moved upwards, which is proving harder to receive. Looks like not viable for those with 1.3 to 1.4-metre dishes. Either need a bigger dish or internet based service.

I also checked the +1 version and on same satellite frequency, so of no use.

Hi Paul

Thanks for the infomation.

Have a 1.9 dish. I have found in the past when channels have moved it sometimes takes a couple scans to get them back but not having any joy this time.

Hi Mary,

It seems that clearly, the frequency is a little weak, otherwise - we'd see on the smaller dishes as well as the larger 1.9. It is possible that the channel is on the cusp of reception, so a little interference or perhaps our dish is slightly better than yours, which may be enough to make a difference on the edge of reception.

To confuse matters further, satellite reception can vary a little on the time of day - so again if right on the edge of reception, channel may drop in and out.

I have checked once again this morning at 10.10 am and Foodnetwork is working on our 1.9.

Realistically, the only thing I could suggest is that perhaps your dish needs a minor tune - when was it last checked? Bare in mind if you can get UK TV reception on a 1.4 and you have a larger dish, so it is possible for it to be not well tuned, as you have a greater margin for error - and only when you see an instance like this, with an odd channel, which theory says you should get - you do not, indicating all not 100%

If you would like a check/tune - welcome to drop the office a line 865774055 (Sue usually answers). Additionally, with the technicians measuring tools, they can go hunting for a specific channel frequency, so can check and tweak dish accordingly and if viable, they'll get anything missing.

There are other variables which could cause this, as mentioned previously as the channel frequency is at the top of the receptive spectrum, it is also plausible that an LNB which has seen better days, could be underperforming slightly - which would only make itself shown, in a situation such as this - tests can be done on this.
