Has anyone used switch on switch off Wi Fi in Quesada?

Postby AliG » Mon May 25, 2015 3:12 pm

Hi
I have been reading about switch on switch off wi Fi which would be ideal for me as I will only be out in Quesada about 6 times in the year. Has anyone used it, who is good to deal with and how easy is it to manage payments ie if out for 2 weeks do they charge you for a month. Apologies for the questions, just want to make the right choice. Thanks :text-thankyouyellow:

There a number of companies that do this type of WiFi. We have DVBlab, on a switch on switch off, and it is fine and reasonably priced but sometimes it depends on the area you are in for signal strengths as to which company you choose to use.

We paid for fitting as a one off (Installation price - 179 € (incl. IVA) and only pay for a month at a time when we are there (19 euro). We were told that if you pay by phone (or cash in the office if that suits) as you arrive they will date the month's use from the date you pay and it turns off when your month of use runs out. You don't have to inform them when you leave, as you just pay for the one month. Apparently there is another way to arrange the WiFi to turn on by email (with an online payment) but that way, for some reason, the month is dated as a Calendar month and if your time goes into two months then that's what you pay. We prefer the phone or office version for obvious reasons.

Just click here to look at some Internet service providers that cover Quesada and surrounding areas you can read what they offer and look at their websites to see what will suit you better for your needs. Most will do a switch on switch off service.

I would recommend Skynetlink in Rojales. Excellent service, all details available on their website. Have been using for the past two years.

We also offer a wireless 'stop / start' service (though our commercial partner Telitec). It is billed per calendar month. More info on below link. In order to determine signal availability initially would need address to check coverage maps.
