Holiday Internet connection

Holiday Internet connection

Postby Blackcat180 » Sun Jul 03, 2016 8:15 am

Hi,I have recently purchased a villa on the outskirts of Villamartin and am looking for an internet provider that will supply a connection on a as required service (month by month). We intend visiting regularly and also have family who will also be using our home on occasions. Any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Try Lars @ DvbLAB - I have WIFI and TV installed and pay a monthly fee of 30 euros per month - as and when I'm I'm over there or have a guest booking - prompt service and very tidy! - contactdvblab.com
- please tell them Linda recommended them

Hi

Not sure if the situation has changed but when I spoke with DvbLAB about a month ago they said the service in Quesada was saturated and they were not taking on any new clients ((

Anyone have an update ?

They said at the time 'until June' so I can't see them turning away new customers now but it only takes an email to ask.

DvbLab are taking new connections now, I was out for a few days last week and they offered me an installation but I couldn't fit in a date/time with them . . .
I went with ScanSat (based in Torrevieja) instead who could fit me in . . .they offer something a bit different, instead of switch on/off (which most providers seem to have a minimum 6 Months "on" requirement) they do a 3 Months free option if you pay annually upfront, so no issues around remembering to have it switched on/off or paying for 2 Months if you go over a Month end and they are half the price for installation costs.

DVBlab don't have a minimum 'on' requirement for their switch on switch off service.

I emailed them today to ask if they were taking new customers and they said this:

HI Jan

Yes unfortunately we had to stop . (victims of our own success) we have prolonged it and will start 1st August for sure . We have put up 5 new access points in quesada area and (we are) now slowly opening them for traffic .

Thank you for contacting us

"Just to let you know , we are again open for internet only installations

Best regards
