Internet connection and UK TV

We're new to Spain and want to set up internet and TV to watch UK television. We are not technically minded, so we need it to be very simple. Can anyone recommend a service or services?

This will depend on your specific location, as well as what exactly what type of TV service/system you would like. Internet also varies, as some areas fibre - some not.

Unlike the UK, most big Spanish companies do the internet, but don't expect the same of a decent UK TV service, as the two do not always combine well - unless of course you want Canal+ (spanish equivalent of Sky).

I would suggest to review the internet option as a 'stand-alone' as getting stable internet is the most important first step - as that will then give you options of TV via the internet. For internet, Telfy fibre locally may be able to help.

If you just want free to air TV / freesat - then this is available with a dish and with no subscriptions, internet not needed. If you want sports, catchup + bells and whistles then usually end up with a monthly fee for any sort of stable service, which then can bring into play more the importance of having a decent internet connection. Ultimately will depend on your specific requirements as to what is best for you.

We are not technically minded and have just moved to Quesada and heard loads of different stories. In the end we opted for Telfy fibre internet with home phone with 1000 mins to uk for 47 euros a month and then went to Go Satellite for IPTV for 20 euros a month with all English channels, sky channels catch up 4000 films, box sets all sports channels and we are very satisfied. At the end of the day it’s cheaper than sky and it depends what you want.

You may also be able to trial a service, so worth asking before making any decision. Straight away I know of a service which has more content and the same cost.
